Community Playground Build
Get your hands dirty... at our "Community Build" days as we construct our new play structure!
Encouraged by a professional playground designer at a special "design day," every GUS student had the chance to share their dreams and drawings for a new structure. Funds to rebuild the playground were raised at this year's Parents Association GUSfest 2018 event and now we are ready for everyone who can swing a hammer or wield a wrench to join us! We are also actively looking for volunteers, tools to borrow, and donations of building materials and equipment. There are volunteer opportunities from Wednesday, October 24 through Sunday, October 28. Join us!
Don't own a tool belt but still want to help? We need "day-of" volunteers to organize materials, pass out lunch, and cheer on the team! This is also a great opportunity for your organization or older child's school to volunteer!
GUS kids of all ages love to get outside to swing, climb, slide, and explore. Please enjoy hearing from some of our students about their dreams for a new playground and see their clever drawings of what they imagined it could look like.
Child care and lunch provided for all volunteers. For information on when and where to show up, email Martha Delay, Director of Advancement or contact her at 978-927-1064, ext.117.
