AfterSchool + Study Hall

AfterSchool + Study Hall 2024-2025

Afterschool is an extension of the school day where all values and actions of the school day are matched from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.

  • Each day, students have an opportunity to have a snack and participate in supervised passive activities in addition to recreational play between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. After 4:00 p.m, students continue to participate in recreational play until their parents arrive to pick them up.

  • For students in grades 4-5, Study Hall provides a snack and a short outdoor recess followed by 45-minutes of study hall monitored by GUS faculty, who provide homework support as needed. Study Hall is available 3:00 - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

  • Upper School students are welcome to join AfterSchool from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. They are given the choice of a snack, outdoor time, or some quiet time in the library.

You may sign up for the academic year or per semester:

  • Semester 1: September 3 - December 18, 2024

  • Semester 2: January 6 - June 10, 2025.

No AfterSchool programming is available on Grand Friends Day (November 10), Solstice (December 15) and on the last day of school (June 11). Aftercare will be available for all other early dismissal dates. Aftercare is not available on days of parent/teacher conferences, but childcare is available during your scheduled meeting time.

Please contact auxiliary@gus.org with any questions.
