7th Grade Reflections on Martin Luther King, Jr.

As part of our 21-day racial equity challenge, in 7th grade, we have devoted time to reflecting on the life and message of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As an extension of our conversations, each student wrote down one word that came to mind when they thought about who Martin Luther King Jr. was or what values he has come to represent since the crucial role he played in the American Civil Rights Movement. Then, each student created some sort of artistic representation of their word.

May these conversations and reflections on social justice and human rights continue within our community, and may we always approach them with open minds and open hearts.
