Adventures + Leadership Development for Teens!

SUMMER@GUS is now offering a number of options for our teenagers + older campers.

Junior Counselors

High School Students (at least 16 years old)

Join us as a SUMMER@GUS Junior Counselor! Work closely with group counselors to provide a healthy, safe, and quality experience within the camper community. Junior Counselors typically work with our Chickadees (grades PK-K) and Hawks (grades 1-2).

  • Orientation: June 22 - 25

  • Camp Hours: Mon - Fri, June 27 - August 12, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

 

Leader-in-Training

Entering Grades 9 - 10

Participate in a training program focused on developing their leadership skills, gaining confidence in working with their peers, and leading youth. The GUS Leadership Development Coordinator will coach and mentor each LIT in a personalized plan to strengthen their confidence and growth in leadership skills.

  • Full-Day: 8:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

  • Staff Ratio: 2 Staff:12 LITs

  • 2 Three-Week Sessions: 7/5 - 7/22 or 7/25 - 8/12

  • Cost: $600/3 weeks ($580 July 4th session)

Eagles Adventure Program

Entering Grades 7 - 8

This two-week program promises to be filled with fulfilling teen adventures on and off-campus such as SUP, Boda Borg, Ropes Course, Schooner Sail, Canobie Lake, Creative Arts, Sports and Games, and Outdoor Explorations.

  • Full-Day: 8:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

  • Extended Day Option to 4:30 (additional fee of $25 per week)

  • Staff Ratio: 2 Staff:12 Eagles

  • 3 Two-Week Sessions: 7/5- 7/15, 7/18 - 7/29, 8/1 - 8/12

  • Cost: $900/2 weeks ($825 July 4th session)

Herons Adventure Camp

Entering Grades 5 - 7

Each week campers will have the opportunity to paddle board with Cape Ann SUP and Indoor Rock Climbing at Metro Rock. While at camp a variety of activities are offered weekly including outdoor explorations, music + movement, creative dramatics, arts + crafts, sports + games, archery, theme days, special events and water play.

  • Full-Day: 8:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

  • Extended Day Option to 4:30 (additional fee of $25 per week)

  • Staff Ratio: 2 Staff:12 Herons

  • Cost: $450/week ($383 week of July 4th)
