Registration Open: EXPLORE@GUS

We are excited to launch registration for EXPLORE@GUS AfterSchool Enrichments for semester 2.

All programs will begin the week of February 3 and run through April 15, 2025. Programs will run from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. There will be no program on Monday, February 17, Tuesday, February 18, or March 10-21. GUS Families already registered for AfterSchool should reach out to auxiliary@gus.org for the reduced price.

New for spring semester - EXPLORE@GUS is open to the public! Please help spread the word - and join us at GUS after school this semester.

The deadline to register for EXPLORE@GUS is January 31, 2025.

Girls on the Run

Whether she’s an athlete or just looking to try something new, Girls on the Run helps girls feel strong in body and mind — all while having a blast with peers. This enrichment combines movement with meaningful lessons about self-esteem, teamwork, and goal-setting. The season wraps up with a celebratory 5K that gives every girl a powerful sense of accomplishment!

Angel's Art Party: Grades 3-5

Facilitated by GUS alumna and recent college graduate, Angel Deschamps, this 8 week enrichment will allow students to tap into their existing or new found interest in visual art. This is an art intensive enrichment.

Soccer Shots: Grade Pre-K + K

Soccer Shots has been in partnership with Auxiliary@GUS for 3 seasons now! This introduction to soccer is for two age groups this year! Soccer Shots coaches incorporate the fundamentals of passing, dribbling, and shooting, with the fun of team building games, sportsmanship, and traditional soccer.

Storybook Ballet

Enter this magical introduction to dance for pre-k and Kindergarten children. In this Enrichment, beloved children’s stories come to life through movement. Each class blends gentle ballet basics with interactive storytime, encouraging young dancers to jump, twirl, and imagine as they explore characters and scenes from classic and contemporary books. This program is facilitated by Creativities Studios

Mission: STEM Possible

Each week, students will engage their engineering brains with fast-paced team challenges before diving into engaging projects that introduce core STEM concepts like simple machines, collaboration, and critical thinking. Using everyday materials, children learn that there’s more than one way to solve a problem. This enrichment reinforces that trying, adjusting, and trying again is all part of the process.
