Bees are certainly some of the most important pollinators in our ecosystem but did you know that birds, bats, butterflies, beetles, and some small mammals are also responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food we eat? In Plenty of Pollinators, research scientists will discover just how important pollinators are to the environment. By engaging in nature walks and day trips, students will record their findings in writing and through drawings. Students will also learn how to incorporate a graphic organizer as a successful tool to organize their writing. The week will culminate by sharing journal entries and experiences of newfound pollinators!
