Talking Trash: A Conversation on Waste Systems with Local Experts

  • The Cabot Theater 286 Cabot Street Beverly, MA, 01915 United States (map)

Have you ever stood with your hand hovering over the trash, unsure if the item can be recycled or composted instead?

Do you get dismayed because there’s no recycling or compost pick up at your home or workplace?

Have you read up on green living and waste systems, but you don’t know exactly what is (or isn’t) happening in your community?

Come to this conversation with local experts to understand what happens to your trash here on the North Shore, and how you can be a better steward of the Earth with simple changes.

Experts from our local composting, recycling, and trash processing systems will explain what happens to the stuff we throw away, and share best practices for healthier waste management for your household, apartment, condo, or dorm—including ways to avoid waste in the first place.

  • FREE DINNER! All registered attendees will get to enjoy a free allergy-friendly meal by Root as we demystify waste in Beverly.

  • Childcare is available. Contact julia@greenbeverly.org to let us know the age of your child(ren).

  • Bring all your questions and a refillable water bottle! Filtered drinking water will be available for your empty water bottles at no charge, courtesy of The Cabot for this special event.  Reusable containers must be brought in empty.
