Glen Urquhart School is proud to host World Marathon Challenge record holder Becca Pizzi!
A Massachusetts native, Becca has also completed 21 consecutive Boston Marathons and run a marathon in all 50 sates. In anticipation of the Wicked Kidz Run, Becca will be speaking to Upper School students on Thursday, October 30, from 10:45 - 11:30 a.m. She will share her running journey and highlight the importance of perseverance, leadership, and dream-building in action! About Becca
Becca is 45 years old, and lives in Belmont MA with her husband Joe and 17 year old daughter Taylor. She graduated from Belmont High School in 1998. Having been the first American female to run the World Marathon Challenge in 2016- 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days, Becca went back, and made history by running it again and breaking the Guinness Book of World Record in a time of 6 Days, 7 Hours and 58 minutes. She has completed a marathon in all 50 states. She has finished the World Marathon Majors and has run 21 consecutive Boston Marathons! She raced Kona Ironman World Champsionships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii in 2023 and 2025 and Nice France World Championships in 2024. She attributes her success to the her family and the Boston Community who both have inspired her and supported her dreams. She is most passionate about directing the 10th annual Becca Pizzi 5k race in Belmont, and the Becca Pizzi Foundation. She is the Race Director of the World Marathon Challenge. Becca is an author of children's book Becca's Feat on Feet. All book proceeds benefit the Becca Pizzi Foundation which has awarded over 100k in scholarships!
