The Johnson Gallery in the lower school:

Lise Carrigg Tide

From the artist: I find that nature offers endless possibilities to explore texture, space, and place, and our relationship to our surroundings. In particular, the tide takes particular meaning in our coastal lives as we both observe the tide, and drift in the tide.

Upper School Gallery:

Joan Benotti Private Beach

A series of oil and mixed media pieces informed by narrative and place. This series was inspired by that same stenciled message stretching along a curving mile of sea wall near the artist’s studio in Gloucester, MA. The images reflect the 17th century colonial ordinance restricting public access to these wet sand areas.
