GUS Institute: Summer Learning Experiences

The GUS Institute offers students an in-depth exploration of a specific theme.

These two-week learning experiences are designed for students entering grades two through seven, and are rooted in our project and place-based curriculum. These courses engage students, keeping curiosity alive while developing academic skills in science, language arts, math, and art. Experience Learning Brought to Life!

Courses will run Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Campers have the option of adding a “camp stay” to join our day campers for the afternoon, extending each day to 4:00 p.m.

The week will be blended with a variety of activities, including:

  • Outdoor discovery and observation

  • Reading, writing, and creative reflection

  • Math, science, and/or social studies lessons to help deepen understanding of the topic

  • Creative art

  • Local field trips (not all sessions may include a trip)
