Why GUS for Middle School?

In upper school at GUS, we work to foster a community committed to helping students get the most out of their GUS education.

We believe that adolescence represents one of the most delicate and pivotal times of growth and self-realization. Working in partnership with their teachers, GUS students are known, loved, and appropriately challenged. Our child-centered approach to teaching, coupled with a flexible, dynamic schedule that allows students to delve deeper into subjects, ensures a learning environment in which students feel comfortable taking academic risks and pursuing knowledge with real interest. As a result, our students come to school eager to work and learn with peers, motivated by their own curiosity and aspirations.

“My child is known, accepted, understood, guided, and nurtured each day. I am continuously impressed by the richness of the curriculum and the depth of meaning embedded in each lesson. My child is being challenged and supported. He is learning and having so much fun each day. We couldn’t hope for more.” - GUS Parent
