Finding Joy: Winter Solstice 2022

At GUS, as we near the winter solstice, the shortest and darkest day of the year, we take time as a community to reflect on who or what lights up our lives and fills our hearts. Ahead of our Solstice celebration, students and faculty gather to write what brings us joy and decorate star ornaments that hang on our solstice tree, as a way to spread light throughout our community.

As we look at the tree, we are filled with hope, knowing there are so many people and things that bring love and joy to all of our lives. How comforting it is to remember that even in dark times, that light is all around!

Happy Solstice from all of us at the Glen Urquhart School. We wish you peace, joy, and light on this shortest day, and all days.

Welcome Yule!
