During his time as Head of School, Raymond Nance led with care, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. That same spirit is evident in his photography. An avid traveler, he has spent years capturing the places he visits — quiet landscapes, vibrant communities, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. His work invites us to slow down, to observe more closely, and to find beauty in both the extraordinary and the everyday.
This collection reflects not only where he has been, but how he sees: with attention, humility, and a sense of wonder. We are honored to share these images with our community, and grateful to Lindsay Calef ’99 for generously lending them from her collection.
