A First Step Towards Our Future
Dear GUS Friends + Family,
This morning, before we kicked off our May Day festivities, we had the opportunity to gather as a community and share an exciting next step in the life of our school. At the heart of the joyful presentation was a simple but important question: What does GUS need for the next 50 years? We’re excited to share one important answer.
We are moving forward with plans to build a new, centrally located space on campus — a place that will serve as a welcoming front door to the school, house key community spaces, and support the continued growth of our program with two multidisciplinary classrooms. This project is expected to get underway on June 12, 2026 and run through May 2027.
This project is also the first visible step in a broader effort to strengthen GUS for the future. As part of our ongoing community campaign, What GUS Can Be, we are investing in the spaces, people, and programs that define this school and make its mission possible.
There will be much more to share in the weeks and months ahead. For now, we hope you’ll take a few moments to explore the vision and begin to imagine what this next chapter can make possible for GUS.
With Gratitude,
