Grade 6: Washington, DC Trip

Greetings, Sixth Grade Families!

We’re excited to share updates about the 6th grade trip to Washington, DC, Nov. 11–14. The trip will be led by Kate Doyon, 6th Grade Homeroom + English Language Arts Teacher, Pam McCoy, Academic Support Teacher, and Brad Belin, Director of Upper School.

Below, please find important information and required documents for families: 

  1. Global Works Trip Home Page: Please bookmark this page—it will serve as the central hub from Global Works, with the packing list, travel details, and required enrollment forms. It also includes our tentative trip itinerary.

  2. Informational Zoom: Tuesday, October 7, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

  3. Travel Details: Flight details are now posted on the landing page under ‘Travel Information.’

    • Departure: Please plan to have your child at the United Airlines terminal at Logan Airport by 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11. GUS chaperones will be there to meet you! UA 2098, ETD 9:30 a.m.

    • Return (11/14/25): Depart Washington Dulles (IAD) at 5:10 PM, arrive Boston (BOS) at 6:48 PM (UA 688). Parents/caregivers should plan to pick up students at Logan Airport.

  4. GUS-Specific Forms: These forms are required to participate; please have your student turn them in to Ms. Doyon.
