This year, the infamous 5th grade earthquake project looked a little different than usual. Instead of toothpicks and glue, fifth graders used cardboard, tape, and materials found around their homes. Each student started with a plain box (their building) affixed to a flat piece of cardboard (the ground).

We are striving to give our students the same, tangible, learning experiences they've come to expect at GUS, responding to their feedback and to our families' needs, and continuously learning and refining as we go.

When she learned we wouldn’t be coming back to campus this spring, Ms. Buck went for a walk. She was thinking about how much she was going to miss her second graders, and decided to write them a note. She gathered some sticks, and wrote out “miss you.” She had so much fun creating this ‘nature note’ she decided to bring it to her students.
