Exploring a Brave New Humanities 8

When the quarantine hit and schools had to pivot, quickly, to Distance Learning, it was clear that 8th grade Humanities would have to adjust, quickly and (hopefully) effectively. Distance Learning: Student Reflections

While we'd much rather be teaching our students in-person, we are finding ways to keep the GUS mission and philosophy of education alive through distance learning. We are striving to give our students the same, tangible, learning experiences they've come to expect at GUS, responding to their feedback and to our families' needs, and continuously learning and refining as we go.

Nature Notes

When she learned we wouldn’t be coming back to campus this spring, Ms. Buck went for a walk. She was thinking about how much she was going to miss her second graders, and decided to write them a note. She gathered some sticks, and wrote out “miss you.” She had so much fun creating this ‘nature note’ she decided to bring it to her students.
